ITINERARY

DAY 1: SANDAKAN – SEPILOK – BORNEAN SUN BEAR CENTRE – SUKAU/BILIT (L/D)
Meet at the Hotel Lobby in Sandakan or Sandakan Airport – Proceed to the Sepilok Orangutan Center. Experience a close encounter with the "Man of the Forest", who are undergoing a rehabilitation program to return to the wild – Visit to the adjacent Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre where you will see the world’s smallest bear and learn more about them and the conservation effort to protect them – Proceed on a two-hour drive that passes oil palm plantations and villages to Sukau/Bilit and check-into your lodge for lunch – Free at leisure time after lunch – In the late afternoon, take a boat cruise along the Kinabatangan River in search for Proboscis monkeys and other forms of Wildlife – Return to the lodge for dinner – Overnight in twin bed rooms with attached hot water showers. (Estimated driving time/distance: 3 hours, 150 kilometers)
(Remarks: Boat transfer and river cruise by boat is always on shared basis / join in).

DAY 2: SUKAU –BILIT(B/L/D)
Early morning, proceed on a river cruise to observe wildlife and experience the early morning river ambience of the longest river of Sabah –Returmto the lodge for a late breakfast– Rest of the day, free to enjoy the natural surroundings– In the late afternoon, at 16.30pm, proceed on another river cruise to search for wildlife–Return to the lodge for dinner. Overnight in twin bed rooms with attached hot water showers.
(Remarks: River cruise by boat is always on shared basis / join in.)

DAY 3: SUKAU/BILIT – SANDAKAN (B)
After breakfast, depart overland to Sandakan city hotel or to the airport for your onward journey.
(Estimated driving time/distance: 3 hours, 150 kilometers)

NOTE:
• Bright colour clothes not advisable.
• Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre - Special permission is needed and separate charges are levied for professional photography or filming
• The company reserves the right to change or cancel should condition beyond our control render it necessary.
• Within the Turtle Island Park no person shall (except with written permission from the Park Director): take photographs of the turtles anytime during the day or night, take panoramic photographs during the night (between 6:00 PM and 6:00 am) or carry out any video or cinematography.
